I am Andy Evans, currently i am studying Professional Sound and video Technology at The University of Salford, Manchester. I am using this course to help me to develop my technical media skill, where i can transfer them to an outdoor pursuit. I am crazy about climbing and mountaineering and hope to use my media skills to film events and follow people on their adventures to documenting it.
Currently i work in the outdoor retail sector, both on the shop floor and as a brand representative. I work for Elli-Brigham in the Mountain Equipment store. Here i get to explore up to date products and create my own opinion, then help costumers decide what would best fit their propose. Also i instruct in one of only three indoor ice walls in the country, where i get to test new winter clothing and practice my winter climbing skill ready for when the ice hits. Similarly, i am a representative for Merrell UK, with this i get to learnt about brand specific tech and tech used in other brands. I also get to train store staff about the brand, i use this opportunity to chat to staff about their pursuits and their stories.
Being out side is a main priority for me, when i can i boulder to develop my skill, then when its dry i go outside and climb real rock, either to boulder, trad climb or sport climb. When the winter hits i pull out my winter gear and prep for winter mountaineering and climbing. Or i travel to the south of France where i spend time Skiing and snowboarding.
Thanks for checking out my blog, dont hesitate to ask or comment on my posts, i love hearing other peoples opinions on gear and news. Like, share and follow. 🙂
